Toby grew to fame on social networking sites Vine and YouTube where he started recording covers of hit music songs from his bedroom in December 2013. Vine a mobile app owned by Twitter enables users to create and post short looping video clips. Vine which is owned by Twitter allows video clips created with Vine have a maximum clip length of six seconds and can be shared to Vine's social network, and has over 40 Million active users. In just over 11 months Toby amassed over one million followers and over 120 Million views / loops.
In May Randall gained the attention of best selling rapper, songwriter and actress Nicki Minaj recognised by the New York Times as the most influential women rapper of all time. With a combined social following of over 30 Million, Minaj reached out to Toby and posted his cover of her song Pills N Potion across her Social Platforms. In June 2014 he gained another celebrity fan attracting the attention of multi-platinum selling singer and songwriter Hayley Williams of Paramore, Williams who has achieved a top 10 single in 19 Countries got in touch with Toby after seeing one of his videos.
Toby appeared at the DigiFest UK at the Apollo in London in May 2014, alongside other YouTubers including PointlessBlog, Zoella, Marcus Butler and Elyar Fox the event was headlined by boy band Union J. He also appeared at Social Con Chicago in August alongside Jerrome Jarre, Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier.
