Lyric Dubee is a rock/pop/blues/jazz artist, born and raised in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. Although he can be classified by so many different genres of music, he’s created his own personalized genre called REVOLUTION ROCK. Lyric began his early musical career at the young age of nine, when he first picked up his father’s guitar. A few years and many lessons later, Lyric at the age of fourteen has already released two full length albums and has played in bars, coffee shops, open mics, benefit concerts and even large music festivals all around southern Ontario such as NXNE and Canadian Music Week. Lyric is very involved in fundraising events and charities including cancer support groups (Gilda Club, Livestrong) and anything to do with animals.
Many people consider Lyric to be an old soul with a sound that is new and refreshing. Lyric is influenced by many different types of music and has an open mind for everything. He is influenced by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, John Mayer and Linkin’ Park. His sound is unique but appeals to a variety of all ages. Many are unaware that Lyric writes all of his own music and lyrics and is able to use his creative mind to find inspiration on a daily basis for new songs.
