Under the direction of music director Joseph Fitzmartin and associate music director Steven Fisher, the mission of the Keystone State Boychoir in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is to offer world class choral music education and performance opportunities to young men from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds while nurturing leadership skills, building character, and encouraging self-discipline. The Boychoir consists of four ensembles: the Concert Choir, the Towne Choir, the Chamber Choir, and the Graduate Choir for changing and changed voices as well as a The Trainers, a beginners group for young singers. In its first year, KSB sang the National Anthem for the Philadelphia Phillies and the 76ers, and was featured on several major news programs. The Boychoir's inaugural season ended with a three-week concert tour of South Africa. The choir now has more than 100 members.
