Blessed with an extraordinary voice, Inigo has it all - youth, talent, and good looks to boot. He plays guitar, drums and piano and his first single, 'This week's No 1', to be released in Spring this year, could be a telling prescience of things to come.
Born in Chester on 30th July 1991, Inigo was always interested in music and performing. At the age of eight he attended Stagecoach school performing in several shows in the West End. It wasn't long before he was spotted by vocal coach Annette Battam (currently working with Claire Sweeney and other West End leads) who likened him to a young Jose Carreras and who has been teaching him ever since.
At 11 Inigo gained a scholarship to Chester's Abbey Gate College and recorded a CD of four songs accompanied by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. This early experience of a recording studio has stood him in good stead. In his first two years at Abbey Gate Inigo appeared on Granada's 'Afternoon Show', sang live at the Grand Prix Ball and also the Dolce Vita Ball. He even played the Royal Albert Hall introduced by Jack Dee.
The following year Inigo recorded another CD, performed at the Dolce Vita Ball again supporting Beyonce, and played various other festivals including Stowe Music Festival supporting David Cassidy and Dionne Warwick. He's been seen at many more shows including the Regent Street Festival, the CHORF charity concert in Liverpool and more recently at the Great Ormond Street Hospital Carol Service, introduced by Sir Trevor McDonald
In August 2005 Inigo met legendary composer Geoff Morrow (Elvis Presley, Barry Manilow...) who immediately took him into the studio and laid down three tracks with producer Michael Kingfisher. In September Inigo hosted a major show in Liverpool while in December he was interviewed by Adrian Dickinson for BBC Radio 7, sang once more on the 'Afternoon Show' and sang live for Aled Jones' dance in the Christmas Special of "Strictly Come Dancing", reaping high praise from host Bruce Forsyth.
Inigo Byrne has already come a long way in his singing career. Exceptionally gifted, disarmingly charming and, as his friends say, "a good laugh".....'This week's No 1' could, very soon, belong to him.
